maybe some personal information would help!

This being alone is hard... I'm trying to take care of business before heading for the canyon and the warmth of family and friends and my mind simply won't cooperate.
Wesley and Alena along with his longtime pal Seth and girlfriend will be here Sunday and then we'll head for the canyon Wednesday. I leave for the national school counselor's conference in Atlanta the day after the memorial. Then back to Phoenix for one night before heading for Belize with my old (well she is) friend, Terry from Grand Canyon thanks to the understanding of her husband (and my friend) Dan.
Kitty cat, Brian, is doing much better now that our friend, Brandi, is staying at the house. He is good company for me. The gardens looks great and evidence of all the work the "work crews" did is everywhere. I will forever be grateful for the outpouring of help this past year.
Hope to see many of you at the canyon (Shoshone Point), Thursday, June 26, 3:00 till sunset.
Every day remains a gift, Peggy
PS Hello new cyberspace friends, Tina and Tim in Belize. Hope to meet you soon. Terry and I will be at Banana Beach where I hope to read a book with a plot.

Can't wait to see you mom! It will feel so good for us all to be together. Are you sure Brian is spelled "B-r-i-a-n" and not "B-r-y-a-n?" Might want to ask him.

Good morning. So good to hear your "voices." It is hot here in MN, but the sun is shining like crazy. We have been consumed with the flooding in Des Moines. I watched every bit of news I could. Adam and Dawn's house was spared, but the street right next to them had water up to the mailboxes. Dawn's grandpa will lose his house to the damage. He had water almost to the ceiling of the first floor. Luckily they had worked very hard to get their belongings out. Her dad's house also was in sight of the water, but safe. Our house in the country had the river rise down the hill from us, and the lane is a mess from all the water, but no damage. We are heading down there for a couple of work days. Peggy, your are doing so well, hang in there sweetie, another wave of love is coming your way next week. Mandy, can you take some pictures and post them? Anyone from Iowa coming? I was concerned about Tom and Patty with the floods in IA City and CR. Peggy have a great time in Belize, I looked on the internet and it looks like paradise. I visited with Vickie M for a while, she was in the cities for a while before she headed back to Kosrae, we were trying to get Jacky here, but she is going to San Antonio to be with her mom while she has radiation.
Well, I had better close, sorry for rambling, I probably should have emailed you. Anyway, love to you all and we will lift our glasses to Marcus on the 26th. Love, Sue

3:00 in Iowa.

HEre's a toast to you, Marcus. I love you. There's this big hole in me, in many of us. But you sailed right through and around the world, over Navajo Mountain, just like you said you would.

Here's another slip for you. What you all say on the Rim, so ditto for me.

Miles away are so hard. But knowing we are all simultaneously holding you in our hearts with tears, brings us next to each other. It doesn't matter. Tears are tears, no matter where the toasters are. Sorry, I'm a bit emotional right now.

3:04 PM
Memories of Marcus. The bat flying from the kitchen in Webster City, Peggy yelling at Marcus, get the racket, kill it!! Marcus yelling, just cause I'm the man doesn't mean I have to do it!

3:05 PM
Another toast to you, Marcus. YOu and Peggy did have this perfect love, even though you respectively weren't perfect. You saw through each other. You saw into each other. And loved it all in spite of and because of.

Here's to you, sister, Peggy. I wish I was there. Marsha Acord will hopefully hug you for me. (Marsha, I forgot to ask you to hug the kids.) You may feel lonely, but you are NEVER alone.

And Mandy, Wes, Alena, how incredibly amazing you are. It takes times like this to realize just how much and how widely we love. I am honored to be "auntie Patty". Live wholely.

I love you. I love you. I love you.

tearfully yours,
Patty

Patty, you ARE here with us. The time your post hit the blog, Paul, Mandy, Peter and I had just arrived here at the Canyon, guess you just cruised on in with us. So, to keep you in the moment, here's what's up: Kurt and his girls Ali and Neeve are here so we're snacking on chips while Mandy downloads tunes for the afternoon at the rim. Seth and Nicole along with Wes and Alena just downed really big burgers and Paul did an amazingly good job making mince meat of the ham we'll have later today. Peg of course has brought tubs of stuff to keep us all content here together. Maddox just talked with us so he and Charlie's family are on their way over here. Lots of love and hugs going around so we all send the circle of love on to you and include you in ours. Your spirit is here with us as well as all the other hearts that are away today. We'll toast to our Marcus and remember his amazing spirit, humor, his words and his loving heart.
Love to all,
Julie

Hey hoping your time in Belize was good with Terry. We're awaiting your return with excitement and new recipe ideas. Maddox looked at the moon the other night and said, "Mom, I see Uncle Marcus, he's sitting on top of the moon!" and he continued on to say "he's our spaceman mom, isn't he?" I love the way that boy thinks! Uncle Marcus painted an orange, red, and pink sunset for us in Florida. As we were looking at it Maddox says, "maybe he'll paint a purple one for me on Thursday" Just as he said that the sky began to turn purple and Mad excaimed "Uncle Marcus heard me!"

I sincerely wish that I could have gone to the Grand Canyon celebration and bask in the love of your amazing family, the love we all had for Marcus. But unfortunately, time and money did not allow, so I hope you acknowledged my presence in spirit.

I hope you all had a very beautiful celebration for the teacher I adored so very much.

Perhaps you can share with everyone that I place all blame for my 5 on the AP English Language and Composition exam on Marcus, as well as my desire to teach. :)

Love,
Mel
